What to Know about the 2022 Toyota Tundra Hybrid

Companies around the globe are becoming more conscious about helping the environment and implementing green initiatives, and many automakers are trying to do their part. One of the leaders in this area is Toyota, and for years now, our carmaker has been building some of the best hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) available.

These EVs have been exclusively sedans and SUVs, but that is about to change with the release of the Toyota Tundra, which will be offered as a hybrid model.  

What Will the Toyota Tundra Hybrid Offer?  

The truth is that right now, we don’t know much about this new vehicle, as Toyota is doing a very good job of keeping things under wraps. However, we do know that the 2022 Toyota Tundra Hybrid will probably come with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine along with an electric motor.

Fuel economy should be excellent, and it is estimated that it will be about 30 mpg. There may also be a plug-in hybrid version in the works.  

All-Electric Toyota Tundra 

If a hybrid Toyota Tundra has got you excited, you may be even more excited to know that an all-electric version might also be coming soon. Again, we don’t know much, but Toyota has said that they will be releasing an electric pickup truck in the near future. Speculation is that it will either be the Toyota Tundra or the Toyota Tacoma.
